This is a sketch of the Mother Tree in Bluffs Park. Apparently, there is a rich history of this tree. I’ll find out more about this.
This watercolour sketch and other local art are hanging at the medical centre here on Galiano Island. A portion of the sale will go to the centre.

Didn’t even realize until I saw the news. I guess this is the best way to celebrate it.
I finally got this blog to install. Internet here is sparse and the cell reception is weak. For now, the internet stick will do. The lack of street lights makes the stars brighter and on clearer nights the milky way is visible.
